Each faculty member who teaches the Master of Law in Compliance Degree Program lends their own unique legal perspective to the curriculum. This specialized course of study was developed by the dean and faculty of the Western State College of Law.
Paul G. Arshagouni, MD, JD, MPH is the Associate Dean for Graduate and Distance Learning Programs and a visiting professor at Western State College of Law. Professor Arshagouni first entered legal academics in 2002 as an assistant research professor at the University of Houston Law Center’s Health Law & Policy Institute. He then spent several years teaching at Michigan State University College of Law where he taught a number of health law related courses. Professor Arshagouni has also taught at California Western School of Law and Whittier School of Law. Prior to legal academics, he was an associate at Sidley Austin in Los Angeles and at Foley & Lardner, also in Los Angeles.
Before entering the legal profession, Professor Arshagouni had a career in medicine. He worked for several years as a pediatrician and assistant clinical professor at the University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine. While at UCI, he acted as director of pediatrics at a community clinic in north Orange County, CA.
